Teaching Assistant - Rugeley - Long-Term - Start Date: September 2026

Academics are currently recruiting for experienced, dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming school in the heart of Rugeley. You must be a Teaching Assistant who is willing to go the extra mile to support classes on a daily basis. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available within the school for a September start; it is important to note that you will be working on a temporary basis, through a trusted and established supply agency.

Your duties will vary on a day-to-day basis; you will be assisting children with learning, personal needs and welfare. You will be providing structured support to classes, working alongside the class teacher helping to raise standards by ensuring high expectations are promoted for all pupils. You will be accompying staff on school trips and visits when necessary. You will also encourage pupil to interact, participate and engage in class activities led by the teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pastoral support to pupils within the school environment.
• Assist in maintaining a positive learning environment, by implementing behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
• Provide support to pupils, helping them achieve learning goals. This could be through both 1:1 and group work.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, evaluation and implementation working alongside the class teacher.
• Promote and safeguard the welfare of children at all times.

What we''re looking for:

• Qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistants (desirable)
• Has strong experience of working within and supporting a school as a Teaching Assistant.

• A kind, caring and supportive nature in which you feel passionate in supporting children in a school setting.
• Would be available to support a long-term role within the same school, on a temporary basis working through an agency.
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one)
• Can provide two recent professional references
• Is able to commute to a school in Rugeley.
• Is fully registered (or willing to register) with Academics

Pay -93 - -100 per day, depending on experience. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
