School Office Administrator

Overview
The Senior School Office is central to the day-to-day life of the school, acting as a hub for communication and administration. The Senior School Administrator plays a key role in managing pupil queries, handling phone calls, overseeing lost property and confiscated items, and supporting parental communications and school events. The role also includes providing cover for the School Reception and assisting with routine administrative duties such as reprographics and post management.
Responsibilities
Manage pupil queries and handle front-line communications with pupils, staff, and parents.
Answer and triage phone calls; support parental communications and school events.
Oversee lost property and confiscated items; provide efficient administrative support to the Senior School.
Provide cover for the School Reception as required and assist with reprographics and post management.
Role DetailsWe are looking to appoint a Senior School Office Administrator on a fixed-term maternity cover basis starting November 2025. This part-time role (three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm with an hour for lunch) offers an excellent opportunity for an organised and personable individual to support the smooth running of the Senior School office.

Calm, professional, and approachable manner with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Team player capable of working constructively with colleagues and maintaining confidentiality with discretion and integrity.
Familiarity with key IT packages; experience in an educational environment is advantageous.

Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this post will be between £30,000 and £34,000 pro rata (£18,000 to £20,400 actual), depending on qualifications and experience.
