CAD Engineer / Laser Programmer



Location: Tipton, West Midlands

Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 (depending on experience)

An established and growing UK-based manufacturing business is seeking a skilled CAD Engineer / Laser Programmer to join its engineering team in Tipton. Key Responsibilities

• Create accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for manufacturing purposes

• Program laser cutting machines using appropriate software

• Interpret technical drawings and customer specifications

• Optimise designs for efficient production and material usage

• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth workflow

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process

Requirements

• Proven experience in a CAD Engineer or similar role

• Experience with laser programming and CNC machinery

• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar)

• Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
