Senior Cost Manager - Water

OverviewAECOM Manchester, United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Cost Manager - Water to join our Buildings and Places Infrastructure team. You will provide a comprehensive cost management service for large water sector projects and may also work across highways, rail and power sectors with clients such as Southwest Water and the Environment Agency.
Responsibilities
Deliver all aspects of cost management from inception to completion, including feasibility estimates, cost planning, contract procurement, tender documentation, value engineering, risk management, post-contract cost reporting and final accounts, with supervision as needed.
Demonstrate professional competence and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional contacts to uphold the firm’s profile.
Drive performance standards and technical excellence through clear communication and participation in AECOM technical practice networks.
Maintain and develop client relationships to promote the firm as a provider of premium professional services.
Mentor and support junior team members on technically complex projects.
Identify and pursue marketing opportunities; raise potential leads with Directors and the Business Development Department to develop new business.
Qualifications
Experience and a strong track record in Cost Management/Quantity Surveying, ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects.
Good working knowledge of NEC4 contracts, particularly the PSC and ECC.
Experience of cost/commercial management as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams.
Experience of working within a client organisation, directly or via secondment/colocation arrangements, would be beneficial.
Ability to identify and influence key client stakeholders, building relationships to grow workload/portfolio.
Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
Accredited MRICS (or working towards membership).
