My Client is a market leading Environmental Consultancy who specialise in flood risk, hydrology and ecology, is searching for a Flood Risk Consultant to join their specialist team. The team are dedicated to delivering innovative and sustainable environmental solutions across the UK. You could be based in many locations across the West and East Midlands, Greater Manchester, Bristol and Sheffield.
As a Flood Risk Consultant, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting flood risk assessments to support planning applications and development projects.
- Undertaking Water Framework Directive (WFD) assessments to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Develop drainage strategies and designs for a variety of projects, ensuring sustainable and effective water management solutions, using infodrainage.
- Preparing environmental permitting applications in line with regulatory requirements.
- Water Quality and water discharge consents.
- Drainage Impact Assessments.
- Hydrological Assessments.
- Rainfall Analysis and interpretation of GIS maps.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including GIS Consultants, Ecologists and Engineers.
- Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to provide expert advice and guidance.
- Producing clear, concise, and accurate technical reports and documentation.
You will have the chance to join a supportive team and training will be provided from a local office.
Candidates will be expected to have a degree in hydrology, environmental science, civil engineering, or a related discipline and experience in conducting flood risk assessments and/or hydrological assessments.
You will also be expected to have experience analysing and interpreting flood risk data and maps and have familiarity with WFD assessments, discharge consents and environmental permitting.
You will also be expected to have a valid UK driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
