Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Import Team Leader who is experienced within Airfreight. The company are a major Freight Forwarder based in The Heathrow area. Job Role:- As an integral part of our import operations team, you will support the Assistant and Department Manager to ensure allocated customers receive a best-in-class service in accordance with Company strategy. You will operate and manage our Air Freight Import services, liaise with and manage the relevant staff, partners, carriers and clients and administer the business in accordance with Company''s procedures and requirements. You will be flexible to support the Assistant and Department Manager in achieving efficient and cost-effective operations, managing and supporting your team members to achieve desired outcomes and develop them in their roles. Daily Responsibilities:- Support the implementation of agreed strategy with the Air Freight Import Assistant Manager. Comply with company policies and make sure they are up to date and your staff are familiar with all. Pay particular attention to the credit policy and compliance with HMRC. Support the development of your team members, highlighting knowledge gaps and suggest training requirements to your manager. Ensure we have human and operational resources to deliver the planned work we have on hand, when approval to employ is agreed, seek out and develop talented people to join the team.
