The OpportunityWe are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Team Leader Southampton role working 48 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 6.00am to 4.00pm.The pay rate is 13.50 to 15.50 per hour, equating to an annual salary of 33,696 to 38,688, depending on experience.This is a mobile role covering commercial sites including business parks and shopping centres across the Southampton area. You will lead daily site operations, ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard, and support operatives in delivering consistent quality.This role is ideal for an experienced grounds operative ready to step into a leadership position, or an existing team leader seeking stability and clear structure.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and organise daily grounds maintenance activitiesSupervise operatives to ensure tasks are completed efficientlyCarry out pruning, hedge cutting, grass cutting, watering, and seasonal plantingAllocate tasks and manage site schedulesConduct quality checks and site inspectionsEnsure Health and Safety procedures and COSHH guidelines are followedMaintain tools, machinery, and vehicles in safe working orderComplete timesheets and site documentationLiaise professionally with clients when requiredDrive between sites and manage route planningRequirementsProven commercial grounds maintenance experiencePrevious leadership or supervisory experience desirableFull clean UK driving licence essentialStrong knowledge of horticultural maintenance practicesOrganised, ..... full job details .....
