Multi-skilled Technician - Full training provided!

Location: Witham

Salary: -30,000 - -34,000

Shift Pattern: Weekly rotation - 05:15-14:00 & 14:00-22:30 - Saturday overtime required on a rotational basis to support production

About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and hands on individual looking to kick start a career within maintenance or who is looking to put their hands on practical skills to the test.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to problem solve and troubleshoot maintenance issues - both building and equipment related. You need to be happy to be hands on and learn new skills; working within a dynamic team to ensure the smooth operation of our clients busy site. You will be a confident communicator and happy to liaise with our clients employees across all levels of the business. You will be approachable and proactive; and willing to learn new skills. With a supportive team behind you, you will be working within a global organisation who are recognised as one of the leaders in their field.

This is an active and hands on role; therefore it is essential that you are physically fit.

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the site
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and building issues promptly
• Complete routine repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on all equipment (full training provided)
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they occur (full training provided)
• Maintain overall site cleanliness and safety standards
• Act as the designated first aider (full training provided)
• Respond quickly to any issues that may disrupt daily operations
• Support the wider team with maintenance-related queries and solutions

• Previous experience in a similar maintenance role OR demonstrable maintenance skills / or the desire to work within a maintenance role evidenced in your CV or recently completed an apprenticeship within a trade (electrician / plumber / construction).
• Full UK driving licence (essential due to shift patterns and client location; unless you reside in Witham)
• Strong problem-solving abilities and hands-on approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to respond to urgent maintenance issues

• Forklift licence (training can be provided if needed)
• Experience across multiple trades/industries
• First aid certification (though training will be provided)
• Basic electrical knowledge (full electrician qualification not required)
• Experience working with air conditioning
