Children’s Home Dual Registered Manager

to join our services in

Barnsley

looking after not just one but two of our homes. You will be overseeing a

one- and two-bedroom home , with a small team already assigned.

As a Dual Registered Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the homes to ensure we deliver a high quality level of care, ensuring the homes actively promote the rights of young people as individuals and provide them with quality care in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organisation.You will also lead a team of care workers, in conjunction with relevant legislation and guidance to ensure that good outcomes are achieved for young people within the home to meet their physical, psychological, emotional and social development.If you are up for this incredible new opportunity then this is what we will need from youResponsibilities

Provide the highest quality care and education.Lead and manage a team.Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, young people and outside agencies.Hold a recognised social work qualification (e.g., QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management - Children and Young People; QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce or equivalent).Minimum of 3 years'' experience within the last 5 years in a position relevant to residential care of children, including at least 1 year supervising and managing care staff.Must be licensed to drive a manual car and have use of own car; able to undertake on-call duties.Thorough knowledge of Children’s Home legislation and inspection requirements (Ofsted) and safeguarding procedures and protocols.What will the role entail?

Develop and deliver high-quality care in accordance with legislation, regulations (including Ofsted SCIFF) and organisational policies; promote equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practices; uphold safeguarding responsibilities.Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines; ensure staff have adequate training.Maintain appropriate records for young people and staff; implement monitoring and evaluation systems.Provide management information including collection and return of statistical data as required.Develop and promote new approaches to childcare provision; participate in the senior team and positively promote the organisation’s well-being.Attend, prepare for and chair internal and external meetings.On a rota basis, undertake on-call responsibilities and sleep-in shifts as needed.Contribute to the organisation’s ethos, values and aims.Write concise, evaluative reports and oversee written communications to sustain required standards.Make decisions when appropriate; oversee admissions and discharges to the home.Innovate change and lead the home’s vision in line with the organisational ethos.Benefits

25 days per annum plus 8 statutory holidays£3000 Bonus - Outstanding Ofsted Report per home = £6000Full Occupancy Bonus - £300 per monthOn Call payments - £25 weekday, £35 weekendsNormal working days are Mon-Fri 9am-5pm; sleep-in duties may be required to support the function of the homePetrol Allowance - paid when using own car; proof of business insurance requiredPension - in line with organisational Pension Scheme and government guidanceDove Adolescent Services Ltd established 1993 provides residential care for young people.
