Residential Conveyancer

Responsibilities
Handle a full range of residential conveyancing transactions, including sales, purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
Act as principal fee earner for all matters allocated, managing cases efficiently and effectively
Carry out legal research, draft and review contracts, leases, and related documents
Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other professional bodies
Ensure all transactions comply with relevant legislation, regulatory bodies (e.g., CLC, SRA), and internal policies
Provide clear and accurate advice to clients on legal and financial aspects of property transactions
Identify risks and resolve issues arising during conveyancing processes
Maintain meticulous case management and meet deadlines while ensuring attention to detail
Support junior team members and contribute to team objectives
Qualifications
Fully qualified as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) with current valid practising status
Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential conveyancing
Strong knowledge of residential property law and practical conveyancing procedures, including freehold and leasehold interests
Experience with commercial property is desirable but not essential
Proven ability to manage a diverse workload independently
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly
Proficiency with conveyancing case management software and legal research tools
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
Client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
High level of professional integrity and commitment to confidentiality
