A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a Senior Commercial Officer / Bid Writer to join a well-established engineering R&D company based in Bedfordshire. The company is focussing on developing brand-new disruptive technology to help revolutionise high precision engineering industries such as Aerospace, Space, Defence, Automotive and more!
  
This role will see the successful applicant join a friendly commercial team who are involved in ensuring that proposals to customers are correctly presented, priced, developed and approved. The Bid Writer / Commercial Officer will also be part of the team responsible for negotiating, agreeing and supporting contracts that provide a robust commercial framework to enable delivery of best of class capabilities to customers.
Requirements for Senior Bid Writer / Commercial Officer:

• Recent and relevant experience working within a commercial team including Bid Managers to understand customers’ requirements and lead on the development of commercial solutions and developing proposals.
• Previous experience in bid planning, commercial inputs and milestones.
• Have experience taking the lead and managing the risk-based approach (RBA) process.
• Skilled in the preparation of high-quality proposals for customer submission.
• Good awareness of governance processes and awareness of best commercial and

• Due to the nature of the work, the successful candidate must be able to obtain security clearance– including the last 5 years continual UK residency.
• Previous experience supporting contract closure would be beneficial.
