Based near Birmingham, you will be initially joining on a 6 month FTC with strong potential to be extended. The role offers super flexible working, with just 3 days based in their modern offices. You will be working in a fast paced finance team, restoring financial stability.Main Duties:As an Interim Forensic Accountant, your main duties include:Perform forensic analysis of historical financial data to identify errors, anomalies, and control weaknessesInvestigate and resolve legacy balance sheet issues, including unreconciled items and prior-period discrepanciesDeliver clear, audit-ready documentation, including supporting evidence and root cause analysisLead remediation activities, implementing corrective accounting entries in line with relevant standardsPartner with auditors and advisors to validate findings and ensure robust resolutionAssess and redesign financial processes and controls to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalabilityEstablish best-practice frameworks across month-end close, reconciliations, approvals, and audit trailsDevelop and embed policies, procedures, and templates to support ongoing governanceCommunicate findings, risks, and progress clearly to senior stakeholdersProduce concise reports and recommendations for leadership and governance forumsLocation / Office / CultureThe role is hybrid, offering a split of 3 days in the contemporary ..... full job details .....
