About the Role

We are currently recruiting experienced 2nd Fix Carpenters for a live site in Acton. This role is paid on a price work basis, ideal for tradespeople who are confident in their ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards.

The project offers long-term, consistent work for those who are reliable, skilled, and motivated. This is a great opportunity to earn well above standard day rates if you're confident with internal door sets and skirting work.

Scope of Work & Price Rates

All materials are provided on site. You are responsible for carrying out high-quality fitting and finishing.

• Single Internal Door Sets: Includes traditional make-up, chopping in ironmongery, and fitting architraves – £93 per door

• Double Internal Doors: Materials provided – £115 per set (fitting only)

• Skirting Boards: Materials provided – £2.50 per metre (installation only)

• Bathroom doors - £100 per door

Example: Complete 4 doors and 30 metres of skirting in one day = £475 total earnings

You get paid for what you complete — the faster and cleaner you work, the more you earn.

Key Responsibilities

• Install internal doors (single and double), ironmongery, and architraves to a high standard
• Measure, cut, and fix skirting accurately
• Work from drawings or instructions as needed
• Maintain a safe, tidy, and professional working area
• Deliver consistent, high-quality finishes on every task

Requirements

• Valid Blue CSCS Card – Essential
• Proven experience in 2nd fix carpentry on site
• Own tools and full PPE
• Ability to work independently and hit realistic daily targets
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
