BDS are recruiting for an experienced housing support worker in Derby to provide high quality housing related support to a wide range of people with complex needs and ex-offenders who- are experiencing difficulties in securing and sustaining their homes and living independently in the community.
Duties and responsibilities
- Engage with referral agencies including local authority central access points/ gateway services, statutory and voluntary sector agencies in order to generate referrals for the service as required.
- Carry out an initial assessment of the service user to determine eligibility for the service.
- Design and deliver an effective support plan with the service users referring to specialist agencies as applicable.-
- Maintain contact on a regular basis with service users in accordance with the requirements of the service
- Support service users to engage in meaningful constructive activities to make effective use of their time and develop their confidence and skills.
- Deliver practical life skill sessions, programmes with service users as required.
- Maintain up to date records and produce relevant reports as required.
Criteria:
- Must have experience of working in floating support and working with complex needs and offenders.
- Must have experience lone working
- Car driver essential
This is a full-time temp to perm position to include very occasional Saturdays. The rate of pay is -19.30 umbrella. Please email your CV asap for consideration or call Vivien to discuss further.-
