We are seeking an experienced full-time Specialty Doctor who will work at Cygnet Hospital Beckton and provide psychiatric care on Svanna Ward, our 12 bed PICU service for women. You will be fully involved as a practising psychiatrist (Staff Grade Psychiatrist) - while being fully supported by a Consultant Psychiatrist and first-class multidisciplinary team. Please note this is a Fixed Term Contract / Maternity Cover until June 2027. Svanna Ward at Cygnet Hospital Beckton is our 12 bed PICU service for women. The service will accept emergency and crisis admissions from all areas including acute wards and forensic services. Our aim is a short, rapid intervention to help individuals to regain a sense of control and order in their lives, so they can move to a less restrictive care setting and, ultimately, return home. The service will provide expert, intensive, short-term, individualised care for women detained under the Mental Health Act.
