Salary: andpound;29,344 andndash; andpound;44,919( depending on experience)
About the Role:
A secondary school with a reputation for academic rigour and student-centred learning is seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Teacher of Social Sciences. The successful candidate will teach subjects such as Sociology, Psychology, and Citizenship across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Social Sciences lessons across the key stages
- Encourage discussion, analysis, and independent thought
- Monitor and assess pupil progress using a range of assessment tools
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Humanities faculty
- Contribute to extra-curricular and enrichment activities
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- A degree in a relevant Social Science subject
- Sound knowledge of the current curriculum and pedagogy
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- A genuine enthusiasm for developing student understanding of society
