Our client, a Defence and Aerospace supplier, is looking for a Configuration Engineer to join them on a contract basis at their site in Yeovil.Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be willing to undergo basic security checks ahead of starting.12-month initial contract.Fully onsite in Yeovil for an initial period and then open to flexible working. 26.14 p/h Umbrella, inside IR35.As a Configuration Management Engineer you will:Drive the achievement of configuration deliverables (configuration management plans and other configuration documentation)Manage and monitor change requests and change collectors driving the timely progression from point of initiation through to operational implementationDeliver timely Configuration Management reports and management information, including configuration status reports, KPIs and trackers in line with a defined frequencyAct as the Leonardo point of contact at internal and external customer meetingsProvide configuration technical support to functional areas, to control the modification state of the product and its support equipment To succeed as a Configuration Management Engineer we need you to have:Knowledge of, or experience in, configuration management principles and processesAbility to prioritise and deliver your own workloadGood interpersonal, facilitation and problem solving skillsGood communication skills - Verbal, Written, ElectronicHigh concern for detail and qualityHigh degree of IT literacy (Excel, Power ..... full job details .....
