Finance Assistant job in Glasgow with hybrid working Your new companyOur client is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The organisation offers hybrid working with 4 days per week from home and 1 day per week in the office. The offices are based in Glasgow city centre and are easily accessible by public transport. The hours of work are Monday-Friday 9am - 5.30pm. Your new roleReporting to the Financial Controller and working as part of a sub-team of 2 but operating as part of a larger finance function, the Finance Assistant will undertake a range of responsibilities, mainly focused on Accounts Payable and Management Accounting tasks. You will be responsible for these activities for multiple branches within the organisation. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to; invoice processing, bank reconciliations, month-end support, accruals, prepayments, journals, liaison with suppliers and general associated finance tasks.What you''ll need to succeedThe organisation operates with advanced IT software and packages and therefore, it is important that applicants are IT-literate. Good Excel knowledge is also required. Ideally, you will have had experience within accounts payable. Training can be provided in any area in which you are less experienced. Professional and friendly communication skills are essential as you will build relationships with clients, suppliers and colleagues, via telephone, email and face-to-face.
