An excellent opportunity for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a market-leading civil engineering contractor renowned for delivering complex and innovative infrastructure projects within the UK water sector. With a global turnover of 2.52 billion and a strong track record of sustainable growth, my client is looking to expand their commercial team with a talented Managing QS, based in their Exeter office. As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will: Take full accountability for financial and contractual performance of projects. Oversee project finances against targets, ensuring robust cost control and reporting. Administer contracts in line with terms, with effective change management and risk/opportunity control. Lead compliant procurement and manage subcontractor/supplier costs. Resolve commercial queries, advise on legal issues, and support dispute resolution. Maintain accurate cost plans, forecasts, and financial records; prepare and present monthly reports (MPR, CVR). Manage client led duties. Conduct audits, attend project meetings, and carry out site visits to monitor progress. Ensure client assurance processes, governance, and documentation requirements are met. Manage and develop a QS team (3 - 6 people), providing mentoring, reviews, and career development. Build strong relationships with clients, supply chain, and internal teams to drive performance.
