Commercial Property Legal Counsel (UK exp)England and Wales QualifiedMinimum of 5-8 years PQELandlord and Tenant Act 1954 working knowledge and experienceElectronic and Communications Code (ECC) - Telco Law - DesirablePermReading | HybridYou must be eligible to work in the UK without the need for SponsorshipThe successful candidate will have proven experience in UK commercial property or property litigation, with a strong working knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. Familiarity with the Electronic Communications Code (ECC) and telecommunications law is highly desirable.What you will do
Advise the business on general litigation/property/telecoms issues and general estate management queriesAnalyse legal rights and provide strategic commercially focused advice and/or negotiating (where applicable) with the Site Providers and/or their solicitorDeliver excellent legal solutions on target and to budget ensuring external legal spend is effective and efficientManage external lawyers appointed by company to include approving documentation and ensuring that the external lawyers deliver: (a) to agreed strategy, standards and service levels; (b) within defined timescales; (c) to budget; and (d) with added value, and provide reporting / management information as required by companyAssist with establishing and constantly improving effective and efficient processes and policies, particularly with regards to leveraging the Electronic Communications CodeSupport and facilitate project activities/deliverables on all sitesWork closely with property colleagues to support their business requirements as well as reporting to the ShareholdersWhat we are looking for
England and Wales Qualified SolicitorMinimum of 5-8 years PQECommercial property or property litigation experience (essential)Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (essential)We would welcome applications from candidates with private practice and/or in-house experience in the above fieldsAbility to handle large workloads and to adapt and learning new skillsExcellent Communication, Drafting and Negotiating skillsAbility to work well and thrive under pressureOrganised, efficient, enthusiastic and resilientAn ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with complex and occasionally challenging relationships.Nice to Have
Volume portfolio managementExperience of implementing process changeHigh volume dispute resolution / litigation experienceHealth and Safety / Regulatory experienceTelecoms experienceElectronic Communications Code (desirable but not essential)
