IT Technician

OverviewThe IT Technician will assist in operating the IT Service Desk; identifying, resolving and documenting issues as they arise. You will be responsible for delivering friendly user support for students and staff, including first and second line support for IT hardware, correcting software and network issues, and preparing devices for new users.
Responsibilities
Provide friendly user support for students and staff, including first and second line support for IT hardware.
Diagnose, resolve and document IT issues as they arise.
Prepare devices for new users and ensure appropriate software and network configurations.
Qualifications / Skills
Experience in a similar IT helpdesk role with strong customer relationship skills.
Proven problem-solving abilities and a drive to see issues through to completion.
Interest in contributing to the ongoing improvement of the department’s expertise and effectiveness.
EnvironmentHarrow School is situated within a beautiful site in Harrow on the Hill, northwest London, and is one of the best-known schools in the world, with around 835 boys studying at Harrow. The IT department supports thousands of users, all of whom interact with our systems in some way, shape or form. These might be pupils, teachers, parents, governors, or colleagues from other organisations which sit within the Harrow School family.
