Emotional and Mental Health Support Worker - OxfordAre you an individual who is passionate about supporting children with their mental health needs?A really rewarding position has become available for an Emotional and Mental Health support worker to work in a school in Oxford. This is an excellent position to gain really valuable experience whilst also making a huge difference to the lives of vulnerable children.Responsibilities
Directly help children manage and cope with their emotions and mental health.Support and shadow the class teacher.Provide 1:1 support for SEN students.Help run engaging lessons to ensure the classroom is a fun and exciting place.Behavioural management may be required.Qualifications / Experience
Resilient and confident in supporting young people with challenging mental health needs.Great opportunity for aspiring psychologists, social workers, therapists and counsellors.Experience working with vulnerable children is desirable but not essential.Those with a background in sports, art or drama will be at an advantage.Graduates in a relevant field will also be considered.Role Details
