Facilities and Maintenance Technician

Job Purpose: The Facilities and Maintenance Technician will report to the HSEF Manager and will be responsible for overseeing building and equipment maintenance within a production/manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities: Carry out routine and reactive maintenance across the site, including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and fabric repairs. Respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM). Liaise with contractors and service providers to coordinate specialist repairs and compliance inspections. Ensure that facilities are safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and inventory of tools and supplies. Monitor building systems (heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting) and report faults or inefficiencies. Support health and safety compliance, including risk assessments, fire alarm testing, and emergency procedures. Provide support during out-of-hours emergencies or planned maintenance as needed Be the Appointed Person for Legionella Control.
