Senior Quantity Surveyor | Main Contractor | Leeds | £60k - £75k + Package

We’re working with a leading main contractor to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of major construction projects across Yorkshire.

This is a Leeds-based role, working on large-scale schemes across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, leisure and industrial. Projects are typically high-value and complex, offering the opportunity to play a key role in commercial strategy and project performance from pre-construction through to final account.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who can take full commercial ownership of projects, manage junior team members, and contribute to the wider success of the commercial function.

What You’ll Be Doing.

• Managing project costs from pre-construction through to final account
• Leading subcontract procurement and commercial negotiations
• Producing valuations, applications for payment, and cost reports
• Managing variations, risk, and change control
• Overseeing commercial performance across major projects
• Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff
• Working closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders
• Ensuring strong commercial governance and reporting

What You Will Need.

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor
• Background delivering large-scale construction projects
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Experience managing subcontract procurement and packages
• Ability to lead projects and support junior team members
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Relevant qualification (degree or equivalent) desirable
