We are looking for a motivated, 6-session face-to-face GP to join our clinical team, working across our two thriving sites: Graham Road Surgery and Horizon Health Centre. Primary ResponsibilitiesThe following are the core responsibilities of the salaried GP. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:a.The delivery of highly effective medical care to the entitled populationb.Generic prescribing adhering to local and national guidancec.Effective management of long-term conditionsd.Processing of administration in a timely manner, including referrals, repeat prescription requests and other associated administrative taskse.On a rotational basis, undertake telephone triage and duty doctor rolesf.Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidanceg.Working collaboratively, accepting an equal share of the practice workloadh.Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit processi.Contribute to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives within the practicej.Accept delegated responsibility for a specific area (or areas) or the QOFk.Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as requiredl.Contribute effective to the development and maintenance of the practice including; clinical governance and trainingm.Ensure compliance with the appraisal processn.Prepare and complete the revalidation processo.Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice teamp.Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplinesq.Support the Executive management team in achieving the strategic aims of the practice, making recommendations to enhance income and reduce expenditurer.Review and adhere to practice protocols and policies at all timess.Encourage collaborative working, liaising with all staff regularly, promoting a culture of continuous improvement at all timesSecondary ResponsibilitiesIn addition to the primary responsibilities, the salaried GP may be requested to:a.Participate in practice audits as requested by the audit leadb.Participate in local initiatives to enhance service delivery and patient carec.Participate in the review of significant and near-miss events applying a structured approach i.e. root cause analysis (RCA)Person Specification
