OverviewSenior Support Worker role at SeeAbility

Location: Wellington, Somerset

Salary: £13.53 per hour (£26,383.50 pro-rata) plus benefits. Additional £50 per sleep-in shift.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, on a shift rota basis. You will also be on the on-call rota.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent.

Driving: A valid full UK manual driving licence is essential for this role.

Right to Work: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer any skilled worker visas.

About YouWe are on the lookout for a Senior Support Worker who is calm, patient, and resilient. You will need to have a consistent approach to assisting the people we support to engage in the interests they love.

Responsibilities

You will be a strong team player with the ability to lead by example, being professional, patient and calm under pressure with experience of providing extraordinary support.

You will supervise daily outputs and assist the Registered and Deputy Manager’s in managing staff performance, development, and appraisals.

You will follow social care legislation and regulations to keep your team and home compliant.

You will demonstrate keeping accurate records, perform audits and quality outcomes for the people you support.

You will take personal responsibility for the quality of care and support delivered to the people we support.

You will help plan and achieve both short- and long-term goals.

You will plan and be in favour of activities, such as vacations, learning and social engagements always being creative and exploring new opportunities.

You will ensure the people you support and their families are treated with respect, dignity, equity, and equality.

You will have a QCF in Health and Social Care level 2 Diploma (or equivalent) with willingness to undertake a level 3 in Health and Social Care and demonstrate knowledge of regulatory standards.

Who you will be supportingFiennes House is a 12-bed purpose-built residential home, for adults with complex care needs, learning disabilities or autism, some of which have behaviour that can challenge. Residents have access to a large sensory room with equipment to stimulate their senses using lights, sounds, music, and touch, including a heated waterbed and materials for sensory experiences. The people we support are active and engage with the local community through activities such as art classes, trampolining, music, gardening in the sensory garden, and community outings.
