Job Overview Lead and manage the mechanical design function, overseeing a small team of four design engineers (2 on-site, 1 part-time, 1 remote). Undertake hands-on design work using SolidWorks, ensuring all project designs meet technical standards, quality, and delivery schedules. Review and check design outputs to ensure accuracy, functionality, and on-time completion. Liaise closely with the Purchasing Department to ensure timely delivery of components and materials. Work alongside the Production Manager to support manufacturing processes, resolve design-related issues, and ensure smooth production handovers. Participate in daily production meetings, providing design updates and supporting cross-functional communication.
