Our client, who is a self-delivery main contractor, is looking for an Site Manager working on and internal fit out project based in Teeside. This is a permanant position with other projects in the pipeline . The role would also suit and experienced fit out Assistant Site Manager looking to take a step up and run there first job. Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring the project runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Manage and motivate on-site teams, including subcontractors and tradespeople, to deliver high-quality work within strict timeframes.
- Implement and enforce health and safety practices, adhering to SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) guidelines.
- Regularly liaise with clients, Project Manager, and suppliers to maintain clear communication throughout the entire project.
- Monitor construction progress, identify and resolve any potential issues, and ensure adherence to project specifications and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records, including site diaries and health and safety logs.
- Leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational capabilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality projects within deadlines.
- Possession of SSSTS or SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS card qualifications.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Degree or technical qualification equivalent (Desirable).
- Valid driving license.
