We are recruiting for a Home Care Assistant on behalf of a high-quality local homecare provider who support elderly clients in Ledbury and the surrounding towns and villages to live fulfilling and independent lives in the comfort of their own homes.

On offer for the successful Home Care Assistant is:

• Set hourly rates Monday to Friday until 5pm of £13.00, Weekdays after 6pm this rises to £13.50 and at Weekends to £14.50.
• A role that offers flexible hours of between 16 and 35 which are agreed during the interview process.
• Paid mileage - 45p per mile and paid travel time.
• Double pay for Christmas, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
• Blue light card.

Duties of a Home Care Assistant will include:

• Motivating Clients to get the most out of their day.
• Personal care.
• Administering medication.
• Assisting Clients with washing and dressing.
• Shopping.
• Housekeeping.
• Meal preparation.
• Taking Clients for appointments or outings.

To be considered as a Home Care Assistant you will need:

• Ideally previous experience as a Care Assistant, Support Worker, Carer, HCA, Health Care Assistant or from working within the NHS for over two years.
• A full and valid UK driving licence and have access to own vehicle.
• Have a genuine passion to want to help others.
• Be a reliable team player with a positive attitude.
• Have the right to work in the UK. (Please note the hiring company is not looking to sponsor anyone to work for them).
• To be living within a 7 mile radius of Ledbury and be happy to travel to clients home around the area.
