Health and Safety Manager

We''re proud to be partnering with a leading manufacturing business currently entering an exciting phase of expansion. They''re seeking a dynamic Health and Safety Manager to join their head office in Hastings, with responsibility across two additional UK sites.This strategic role will report directly to the Managing Director and oversee Health and Safety, Facilities, and Estates, ensuring compliance with regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture and supporting employee wellbeing. You will also manage and develop a Health and Safety Assistant, while leading the wider facilities team.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the first point of contact for all HandS matters across three sitesDevelop, implement, and maintain HandS policies, systems, and compliance recordsAdvise, coach, and train managers and staff on best practice and regulatory requirementsInvestigate incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actionsLead Safety Committee meetings and provide regular reports to managementConduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance and identify improvementsOversee Facilities and Estates management, supporting safe and efficient operationsManage and develop a direct report while leading the wider facilities teamKey Skills and ExperienceNEBOSH Level 6 Diploma (essential)Previous Health and Safety management experience within a manufacturing environmentPrevious Facilities and Estates management experienceStrong knowledge of HandS legislation, ..... full job details .....
