Production Operative

Impact Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing company based in Northampton. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operative to join their growing team on a full-time basis. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in precision work, process-based environments, and chemical handling.

Location: Northampton

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: -25,000 - -27,000

Working Hours: 9am - 5pm (Monday - Friday)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out the safe handling and application of materials, including the correct use of chemicals in line with COSHH regulations
• Inspect components visually and technically before and after processing to ensure quality standards
• Apply and remove masking materials accurately according to technical drawings or guidelines
• Use handheld tools and spray guns as required (prior experience preferred)
• Record production data, inspection results, and process information accurately
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment
• Practise correct manual handling techniques when working with delicate or complex parts
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to optimise workflow and maintain productivity
• Follow all health, safety, and cleanliness procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience or training in handling chemicals safely (COSHH) is highly desirable
• First Aid certification is an advantage
• Understanding of manual handling best practices
• Proven background in quality-focused or detail-oriented production environments
• Familiarity with spray guns or other precision tools is beneficial
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team

Due to the nature of the contracts held by our client, successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS Check prior to commencement.
