2nd Line Support Engineer

The successful candidate will be part of the Service Desk and will be the first point of contact for our customers, handling service desk cases and escalating when necessary.There will be hands-on experience in online security, networking, servers, firewall configuration, data handling, communications, and cloud services.The Service Desk operates two working patterns: Monday to Friday 0800-1630 and 0930-1800. Some travel around London to support our customers may be required.Responsibilities
Working amongst a technical helpdesk, providing support to circa 3000 UK schools.Remote network troubleshootingSupporting a range of technologiesCustom products designed and developed in houseVoIP and WiFi solutionsCisco firewallsBackup and recovery solutionsMicrosoft 365 and Google Workspace environmentsQualifications
Background in providing IT support.Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)General IT knowledge and understandingGood problem-solving skillsCapable of working independentlyTeam playerGood customer service skillsFlexible attitude and strong work ethicUnderstanding of networking and protocolsSeniority level
