Blue Legal have partnered with a leading global law firm who are seeking a skilled Senior BDM to lead their global strategy in the Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences sector. The role involves shaping sector strategy with senior leadership, building expertise in market dynamics and client needs, strengthening client relationships, and driving profitable growth. You will manage key client portfolios, align offerings with industry trends, and deliver impactful communications to enhance the firm’s brand and reputation. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about strategy, client engagement, and innovation within the sector.The Responsibilities:Collaborate with sector leads to implement business development plans, providing strategic and tactical support.Offer insights on the sector conflicts landscape to support engagement with conflicts teams.Drive thought leadership and brand-building initiatives, leveraging cross-practice expertise and events.Provide strategic input for pitches, coordinating with practice and product specialists.Develop and implement account plans for key clients, maintaining relationships with decision-makers.Lead client listening activities to enhance relationships and inform strategies.Cultivate strong relationships with partners, fee earners, and sector teams.The Candidate:Previous experience working within a legal / professional services environment.Experience and/or passion for the Pharma, Life Sciences or Healthcare sectors is desirable.Strong understanding of marketing and BD processes for professional services.Understanding of new business processes, digital marketing, CRM and emerging technologies.Demonstrable experience in demanding, partner-led international environments.Please note : Due to the specific sectors we work in, only candidates with valid work experience in a Law Firm, Accountancy Firm, Management Consultancy, Property/Construction Firm, Financial Services Firm or a high profile relevant Association or Agency will be considered.
