Director of Planning - London

We are working with a successful and ambitious planning consultancy who are looking to appoint a Director of Planning to lead and grow their London office. This is a senior-level opportunity for a highly motivated planner to take on a leadership role, delivering high-quality projects while helping to shape the future direction of the business.

The Role
As Director of Planning, you will:

• Lead on the delivery of major planning projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sectors.

• Provide strategic planning advice to clients, developers, and landowners.

• Take responsibility for managing and growing client relationships.

• Oversee a team of planners, supporting their professional development and fostering a collaborative culture.

• Play a key role in business development, identifying new opportunities and contributing to the company''s growth strategy.

• Represent the business at public inquiries, hearings, and stakeholder meetings as required.

About You
The successful candidate will have:

• RTPI-accredited qualifications and full Chartered Membership (MRTPI).

• Significant experience in town planning, ideally with a background in consultancy.

• A proven track record of delivering complex planning applications and securing consents.

• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of mentoring teams.

• Excellent client-facing and business development skills.

• The drive and ambition to contribute to the growth of a forward-thinking consultancy.
