Technical Project Lead in Welding . The Technical Project Lead-Welding will join a multidisciplinary team of engineers engaged in designing Holtec’s flagship nuclear reactor SMR-300 managed by SMR LLC, a subsidiary of Holtec International. Holtec International is a global turnkey supplier of equipment and systems for nuclear, solar, geothermal, and fossil power sectors.The Technical Project Lead - Welding will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the SMR welding construction techniques, assisting with the SMR module design and welding, and supporting the SMR civil-structural team with robotic welding techniques and practices. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Minimum qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Welding or Construction EngineeringAt least 5 years of experience in the nuclear industryKnowledge of welding processes (ASME IX Qualified): FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, Laser Welding, and robotic welding techniquesExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to troubleshoot and solve complex problemsExperience with weld symbols and fabrication drawingsWillingness to travel 10-20%Additional qualifications include an MS in Engineering and familiarity with Holtec manufacturing processes and quality assurance.Responsibilities include:Collaborating with project teams and stakeholdersProviding technical guidance throughout the project lifecycleMaintaining project documentationIdentifying and mitigating risksEnsuring compliance with industry standards and NRC regulationsUpdating stakeholders on progress and challengesResolving technical issues to keep projects on trackHoltec promotes a meritocratic environment focused on continuous learning and professional growth.
