The department comprises seven teachers, many of whom are practising writers and academics. Teaching is proudly literary in its scope and ambition, with poetry, prose and drama at the heart of every year of the curriculum. Younger students encounter literature through screen free lessons and guided independent reading, while older students engage in demanding close analysis through the Cambridge IGCSE and the Eduqas A Level, which allows for genuine intellectual freedom and specialism.
