Mechanical Fitters Marine (SC Cleared, 6-Month Contract, Glasgow)We re looking for experienced Marine Mechanical Fitters to support a high-profile project based in Glasgow. This is a 6-month contract role working on major defence / marine assets, so current SC clearance and formal trade papers are essential. Key Responsibilities Install, assemble and maintain mechanical systems on naval vessels and associated equipment. Read and interpret engineering drawings to fit, fabricate and modify mechanical components. Work alongside engineers, supervisors and technicians on refit, build and maintenance projects. Carry out work in line with all site, defence and industry safety standards and procedures. Requirements NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds or time-served Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Current SC clearance essential. Proven experience in marine / naval / shipbuilding or offshore environments. Good knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
