Our client, a leading company in the energy sector, is currently seeking an Electrical Design Manager - BESS to join their team. This permanent role offers a hybrid working environment and can be based in the Sheffield or Leeds offices.

• Leading the design and development of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from inception to completion
• Coordinating with various stakeholders including clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Ensuring all electrical design work meets regulatory and industry standards
• Managing project timelines, resources, and budgets effectively
• Providing technical guidance and support to the design team
• Reviewing and approving design documents and drawings
• Continually assessing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements in the energy sector

• Extensive experience in the design and management of BESS projects
• Strong background in electrical design within the energy sector
• Proficiency with relevant design software and tools
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment, coordinating between the Sheffield or Leeds offices
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
• Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
