Astute Recruitment are pleased to be partnering with our client to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their team in Derby. This is a part-time opportunity working 2 days per week, ideal for someone seeking flexibility while still playing a key role within a busy and supportive finance function.

This position offers the chance to contribute to day-to-day financial operations, working closely with an established team in a friendly and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with processing purchase-and sales invoices
• Support with bank reconciliations and financial data-entry
• Allocate-payments-and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist with credit control, including chasing outstanding payments
• Handle finance-related queries via phone and email
• Support the wider finance team with ad hoc duties as required

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a finance-or-accounts-based role
• Good understanding of basic accounting-principles
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and finance systems
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage workload effectively within limited working days
