Estimator - Civil Engineering (Specialist)

First People Solutions are delighted to be working on behalf of our client to recruit a skilled Estimator for a specialist Civils company based in Greater Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in estimating, ideally within civil engineering, roads, flooring, concrete.

Location: Greater Glasgow
Salary: -38k - -42k
Flexibility: Occasional working away from home

• Prepare accurate estimates for concrete-related civil engineering projects

• Develop detailed cost breakdowns and project budgets

• Analyse and understand programming and temporary works requirements

• Utilise estimating procedures efficiently, with a structured and analytical approach

• Collaborate with project teams to gather essential data

• Maintain and update records using Excel (proficiency required)

• Background in Estimating or Quantity Surveying, ideally within civil engineering

• Understanding of estimating procedures and the ability to apply them practically

• Site experience or exposure would be beneficial but not essential

• Skilled in analysing data, forecasting costs, and managing project budgets

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
