Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking skilled and compassionate individuals to provide tailored intervention to pupils with Special Educational Needs in Maidstone. As an SEN Tutor, you will play a crucial role in supporting students who are not currently attending a named school provision, in alignment with their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and any other relevant supporting documentation.

This is an ongoing role with the potential to support a range of students over time - or continue working with one student until a suitable full-time provision is secured. Enjoy flexibility in your schedule - both part-time and full-time availability are welcome! Tuition bookings typically cover 15 hours per week (you will be paid for 18 hours), and you''ll liaise with parents/carers to set a learning schedule that works for both parties.

• Deliver tailored one-to-one intervention sessions to students with SEN, helping them meet key academic and developmental goals.

• Support students'' personal and educational growth based on individual needs and aspirations.

• Apply effective strategies to overcome learning challenges.

• Work collaboratively with families, educators, and professionals to provide holistic support.

• Maintain accurate progress and attendance records.

• Experience working with children or young people with SEN, ideally in an educational setting.

• A sound understanding of EHCPs and the ability to deliver interventions in line with specified needs.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students and families.

• Empathy, patience, and a genuine drive to support students with SEN.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
