The applicant will join the current team of seven Consultant Gastroenterologists, two Gastroenterology Speciality Doctors, two Nurse Endoscopists, six Upper GI Surgeons and seven Colorectal Surgeons, 3.5 IBD Clinical Nurse Specialists and an Upper GI Senior Clinical Nurse SpecialistThe successful candidate will work within the team and the principle duties and responsibilities are:Providing diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower GI EndoscopyCare for inpatients -Speciality based ward [predominately gastroenterology/IBD/hepatology}Participate in governance, quality improvement, audit and teachingParticipate in the Gastroenterology on-call rota 1:8 including services for upper GI bleeding. No GIM commitmentMain duties of the job

The trust is looking to appoint a locum consultant to join an expanding and progressive department in a busy and innovative DGH. The Gastroenterology Service at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare is based primarily at East Surrey Hospital, Redhill.
