As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a skilled Bid Manager to play a critical role in securing new business opportunities and strengthening our market presence.
Responsibilities
Own and manage the full lifecycle of bids and proposals from qualification through to submission.
Develop tailored bid strategies that align with client needs and BIP’s business objectives.
Ensure all bids comply with governance requirements and mitigate risks effectively.
Collaborate with business leaders, consultants, sales teams, and subject matter experts to create winning submissions.
Coordinate bid teams across multiple industries and service lines, ensuring effective teamwork and knowledge sharing.
Manage engagement with external partners where joint bids or consortium responses are required.
Develop persuasive and structured proposal content tailored to client specifications.
Ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment with evaluation criteria across all responses.
Build and maintain a high-quality library of pre-written content, case studies, and best practice material.
Enhance and streamline bid processes, templates, and governance frameworks to drive efficiency and quality.
Conduct post-bid reviews to capture lessons learned and apply them to future submissions.
Stay up to date with procurement regulations, market trends, and evolving best practices in bid management.
Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience in bid and proposal management within consulting, professional services, or complex solution environments.
Strong track record of leading and winning bids across one or more target sectors: public sector, energy and utilities, life sciences, financial services, insurance, legal, telecoms, or technology.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, client-focused proposals.
Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
Proficiency in bid management tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, CRM systems).
APMP certification (or equivalent) desirable but not essential.
