EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3) - Southwark

Veritas Education is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded, specialist early years and pre-preparatory setting in Southwark to recruit a dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3 qualified) for a September 2026 start.

This well-established and forward-thinking school is recognised for its expertise in early childhood education and its commitment to delivering a bespoke, high-quality learning experience for children aged 2-7. The setting offers a nurturing and structured environment where children are supported to grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils within the Early Years Foundation Stage, including those with additional needs. Learning is delivered through a play-based and exploratory approach, supported by carefully planned activities that encourage engagement, communication, and early development skills.

• A Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or equivalent - essential
• Experience supporting children within an EYFS setting
• Experience working with SEND, including ASD, speech and language needs, or developmental delay
• A strong understanding of early years development and the EYFS framework

• Support pupils within the EYFS classroom, including those with additional needs
• Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging, play-based learning activities
• Provide targeted support through small group and 1:1 interventions
• Support children''s social, emotional, and communication development

• A specialist early years setting with a strong and well-established approach to teaching and learning
• A bespoke curriculum that supports creativity, exploration, and early development
• Emphasis on outdoor learning, enrichment, and creative experiences
• A supportive and collaborative staff team
