Job Description

We are recruiting a Treasury and Indirect Tax Officer to support the filing of global VAT returns, liaise with external auditors and governing bodies to ensure compliance. The team is based in Birmingham and London.

Our standard working hours are 9:30 am - 5:30 pm, with consideration for flexible working arrangements.

Candidate OverviewWe are seeking candidates who ideally possess the following skills and experience:

Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience

Finance Degree or relevant finance qualification

Support the Senior Compliance and Indirect Tax Officer with duties such as:

Invoice sampling for multinational offices

Ireland VIES filing

VAT year-end reconciliations

VAT to trial balance reconciliations

Review of non-applicable VAT

Assist the Treasury Team with reporting on intercompany lending and interest calculations

Support intercompany billing across various PM entities

Process monthly cash collection journals

Weekly filing and review of Benefit in Kind

Review of interpractice and general ledger accounts

Prepare VAT returns in compliance with local and international VAT regulations

Arrange UK VAT payments on account

Liaise with auditors, HMRC, and other regulatory bodies

Assist in managing cash balances and reporting

Support the Treasury Manager with ad hoc tasks
