Overview

Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist looking to contribute to the leadership and clinical expertise of highly skilled multidisciplinary teams within an acute female 17-bed inpatient ward in Aylesbury? Do you have an interest in working with people with severe mental illness and complex emotional needs? You will be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and on the Specialist Register or be within six months of attaining your Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or an equivalent approved indicator of training. Main duties of the job

Requirements

EssentialQualificationsMembership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent qualification in accordance with Royal College of Psychiatrists GuidelinesApproved Clinician (AC) status and Section 12 (MHA) approval are essential. Candidates who are in the process of gaining AC approval will be consideredHigher degree or equivalent in a relevant fieldTrainingHigher specialist training in psychiatry in approved training post for a minimum of three years, equivalent training in another country, or previous consultant experience relevant to this postCCT in Psychiatry or inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register; OR within six months of achieving CCT at the time of interviewSub-speciality or other specialist clinical training relevant to postClinical ExperienceExperience of the full range of clinical responsibilities expected of a consultant in this specialtyExperience of close collaborative work with social care and other agenciesApplication of evidence-based practice and interest in clinical and policy developments for this care group

Salary: £109,725 to £145,478 per year plus £15,000 recruitment bonus and relocation allowance up to £8,000
