With a large order book and continuous projects for the next 3-6 years, this is an excellent time to join an ever-expanding business. The business now has an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Machinist with both setting and programming experience, ideally using HAAS or Heidenhain controls. Key Responsibilities and Duties: Machining low quantities of precision components - various metals and plasticsFamiliar with the use of Heidenhain/Haas controlProducing components using existing programs, tooling and fixturesProgram and engineer, from scratch, new components using primarily online programming processes.Quality inspection and control This is just a summed-up list, and other duties will be required. Skills and Experience required: Solid mechanical/engineering knowledge, ideally with an engineering apprenticeship, including the reading of engineering drawings and model requirementsOffline programming knowledge is advantageousIdeally, has experience with CADCAM software, familiarity with Autodesk Inventor, and Fusion 360 would be beneficial.Full knowledge of CNC workshop equipment, set, operate and programmeExperience of working to tight tolerances and quality-driven parts.
