Senior Buyer Technical / EngineeringAn exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Buyer to join a rapidly growing engineering business that has tripled in size over the last three years and they re not slowing down.This is a pivotal role within the organisation, acting as the key link between the Engineering Design team and an expanding global supplier network. You will take full ownership of the end-to-end procurement and supply chain cycle, ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality, bespoke engineered components at the most competitive cost.The RoleAs Senior Buyer, you will:Manage the full procurement lifecycle from RFQ through to delivery and supplier performance managementWork closely with Engineering teams to source bespoke components, modules and assembliesInterpret and work from engineering drawings, 3D CAD models and structured Bills of Materials (BoMs)Lead formal RFQ processes, analyse quotations and conduct cost comparisonsSupport estimation and costing activities, including maintaining product cost matricesConduct risk analysis across the supply chain and proactively mitigate potential disruptionNegotiate commercial terms and place purchase ordersDevelop, expand and manage a global supplier baseDrive supplier performance, KPIs and continuous improvement initiativesUtilise and enhance ERP/MRP systems to improve supply chain visibility and reportingAbout YouWe re looking for a commercially astute and technically confident procurement ..... full job details .....
