About the Role:
A welcoming and inclusive school in the Winslow area is looking for a compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with visual impairments. You will be instrumental in helping students access the curriculum, develop confidence, and gain essential life skills in a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support for students with VI using braille, assistive technology, and mobility devices.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to ensure progress and wellbeing.
• Assist with IEPs, risk assessments, and personalised care plans.
• Promote independence, resilience, and inclusion in all learning activities.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with visual impairments (preferred).
• Good knowledge of SEN and accessibility strategies.
• Empathetic, patient, and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply.
