We have a fantastic opportunity for full-time Ambulance Care Assistants to join our team based in
Burton, Staffordshire.
About the RoleAn Ambulance Care Assistant (ACA) is a rewarding role, helping individuals in need and making a positive difference in their lives. Your main responsibility will be transporting elderly, sick, and vulnerable service users to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities. This may involve working in two-person crews or alone, so a full UK driving license and good physical fitness are essential.
Position DetailsThis is a full-time position working 4 x 11-hour shifts per week, covering various days including weekends. Please only apply if you can commit to these hours.

Additional Duties
Transporting ''end of life'' service users with empathy
Communicating effectively with patients and relatives
Lifting and securing service users in and out of ambulances
Handover of patients at treatment centers or to family
Transferring patients in hospital and during flights
Assisting with challenging behavior and mental health issues
Maintaining ambulance safety, cleanliness, and tidiness
Candidate Requirements
Commitment to patient care
Effective communication skills
Calm, careful driver with no more than three penalty points
Teamwork and collaboration skills
Physical fitness for patient handling
Enhanced DBS check (company funded)
Flexibility to work shifts
Knowledge of local area
